Techtonica ENVIRONMENT art Assets: Tiling Textures

A collection of tiling textures I developed for the biomes of Techtonica for the voxel terrain used to form most of the environments. Since we didn’t have access to displacement my goal was to focus on designing materials that had a large stylistic pattern that read naturally from a distance but enough detail where there would be interesting in a first person game. to create a sense of depth in the base color map I blended the AO information to make sure there was detail even if the normal map information wasn’t catching due to the players head lamp.
