Techtonica Modular Kits
I was tasked with creating an expansive modular base building kit influenced by brutalist architecture that complements player-built factories. I was responsible for modeling texturing as well as providing additional concepts to add variation to the pieces.
To address performance, I collaborated with the tech team to design a texture system that used vertex colors to assign where textures go based on a master base building material.
I also designed and modeled the Tectonica Conveyor kit to follow the heavy-duty aesthetics of the machines, sharing many of the same smart materials as the other machines. We also used vertex colors to separate the scrolling tread with the rest of the mesh.
